Vista SP1 will see the world on Tuesday

Much ado about the Service Pack, Microsoft will release Windows Vista Service Pack 1 this week. Amazon.com currently retails the Windows Vista SP1 from 19th March but few websites report the SP1 to be released on 18th March. Theres a lot of confusion about the release date as Microsoft is not ready to speak about it.

Few weeks back Windows delayed the release of Windows Vista SP1 claiming to some hardware drivers installation problems. But Microsoft seems to have taken their time and fixed the problem and is ready with the Service Pack for a wider audience. The SP1 was available to OEM users for while from February and after much voices it was even available to many technet and their subscribed users.

Soon to its release Vista users could be able to download the update and use it since then. It would be available through windows update. Whether it would be standalone or a combined installer package is still unknown.

Hope this Service Pack would fix all the known security bugs and be much better.
