Vista SP1 will see the world on Tuesday

Much ado about the Service Pack, Microsoft will release Windows Vista Service Pack 1 this week. Amazon.com currently retails the Windows Vista SP1 from 19th March but few websites report the SP1 to be released on 18th March. Theres a lot of confusion about the release date as Microsoft is not ready to speak about it.

Few weeks back Windows delayed the release of Windows Vista SP1 claiming to some hardware drivers installation problems. But Microsoft seems to have taken their time and fixed the problem and is ready with the Service Pack for a wider audience. The SP1 was available to OEM users for while from February and after much voices it was even available to many technet and their subscribed users.

IE 8 Beta for those IE lovers.

For those who still love IE for don’t know what reasons here is a treat for you. Microsoft released IE 8 beta which looks more promising than IE7. Windows has even provided testing tools for developers .

Internet Explorer 8 Beta

The new IE for those 48% of Internet Users has few good things and a few bad things. Domain names made prominent, web slices enabled, Favorites bar added with some good features, Load of activities as soon as you right-click and the best thing is easily recoverable session if IE crashes or even your system freezes. The bad things are web slices is old thing, IE crashes too often and loads more as you use it yourself.

Battlefield Heroes- A 0$ silent killer from EA

EA is ready and set to launch Battlefield Heroes- one of a kind cartoon FPS game. The has become old owning to Valve’s Team Fortress 2 included in The Orange Box. This game looks the same as TF2 the only difference is you don’t have to shell money for it. Yes! EA is not going to charge a single penny for this game.

Battlefield HeroesThe game as TF2 is online multiplayer game which looks quite the same. Somewhat a mod for the old TF2. But the game is quite different. The tanks in the game looks like designed with most care and the characters seems like real players masked in the game cartoon skin.

This might be an open challenge from EA to Valve and EA might also be successful in sucking some market space from Valve for its FPS release. The official website is Battlefield Heroes.
