Don’t know how many noticed this, but Google has changed its favicon from it traditional capital ‘G’ to a calligraphic ‘g’. For those who don’t know where to look for favicon just visit the homepage and check the icon beside the url. The small ‘g’ in purple(whatever color it is) is the favicon.
Google name derived from googol=10100 ,typically google means a proper index for the huge amount of information lying unnoticed on the Internet. And probably the new favicon proves the same. I assume it is the infinity sign moved from horizontal to vertical trying to prove Google’s search engine infinity.
You can check the 16×16 size favicon hosted on Google. But I prefer the old one. It was really good.
