Launch Windows App with custom Shortcuts

Dec 31st, 2008

There are many ways to make Windows a better experience, heres one way to make any program easy to access with Custom Shortcut. This feature is built right into Windows, but many people do not take advantage of it simply because they are unaware of it.

Easy to steps to get create program shortcuts in Windows :

1. Navigate through the Start Menu and Right Click on the Program which you want to create Short Cut of. And click on Properties.

Properties

2. In the Properties window, you’ll see a field titled Shortcut key. Go to that field and type the letter you want ( I used P for Paint) This key would launch your Windows Application.

3. As soon as your Enter the Custom Key it would automatically be set to Ctrl+Alt+(custom key used). For me the Paint Shortcut is Ctrl+Alt+P .

This Custom Key comes in handy for everyday Applications like Notepad, Paint, Calculator etc. This can be used in Vista as well as XP so no matter which Operating System you use, try it for fun atleast.

Wasn’t that useful enough?
