Some extra GMail Account Uses

Having a GMail Account has many uses. Besides having a safe Inbox, you actually get more than one Email address just by making on GMail Account.

Here are some tricks you should try and should know :

-An email sent to tech.blog@gmail.com or tech.blog+best@gmail.com will all be redirected to one common email address and that is paris.hilton@gmail.com.

Gmail does not recognize characters after the PLUS symbol but the gmail search filter can distinguish between the different address and you can therefore redirect these email to separate gmail folders or apply different labels for your convenience. Continue reading →

Google Chrome 2 Pre-Beta launched

Google catching up with Browser market very fast. Just four months and Google Chrome has advanced from 0.2 to 2.0. Though the present version is just a Pre-beta launch but the progress seems very fast. Many new features added, but some bugs and errors have their stay.

Getting the Pre-Beta Version :

Install Google Chrome google.com/chrome . Now, Subscribe to the developer preview channel. This is required even if you’ve previously subscribed to the channel. Wait until the new version is downloaded (you may force the update by opening the “About Google Chrome” dialog).

Google Changes its Favicon Again

Last time google changed its favicon(the tiny image that typically appears next to the URL in your browser), it was a calligraphic “g” from the previous traditional Capital “G”. This time is very different. Google gets colorful.

The new design consists of four color areas – blue, red, green and yellow – overlaid by a lowercase white ā€œgā€.

Maybe Google has created hundred’s of favicons and showing us those one by one. For those who don’t understand, don’t worry this change won’t affect Google’s Search results its gonna be the same old Google good search.
