We had some early glimpse of iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock as @comex displayed how he managed to install Cydia on iPhone 4 though there isn’t any news of any tool being released as of now. But @iPhone_Dev team is working hard to work this out. Though all things being very complicated all the iPhone geniuses are working on to get the possible easy way to have a public release of the tool.
Similarly one of the @iPhone_Dev team’s @planetbeing ( the guy who managed to install and dualboot linux on the iPhone) has successfully managed to show a working unlock installed on his iPhone4. Still no public release as he explains it being a very messy code and lengthy process to jailbreak and unlock. They have posted a teaser screenshot/photo of the unlocked iPhone 4 which runs Roger and Bell in Canada.

Many bloggers went on posting their assumptions of the unlock not being a true thing and moreover a fake screenshot or a screenshot with AT&T having a affiliation with Rogers as their Roaming network carrier. So to prove them its true, he also posted two videos demonstrating his jailbreak and unlock to be very true.

For everyone to know , the mighty blackra1n developer has pulled his way out of the jailbreaking scenario completely. He posted a teaser photo of his jailbroken iPhone 4 and made it public that all the tools he created were made to keep him busy in his leisure time, what he cares about most isn’t cracking the iPhone but his convenience. He shared his technical knowledge which leaded to this. He shared this on his blog which is now restricted to invited readers only.

was actually about technical things(I’ve been reacting too much to the feedback, which led it to the place it’s in now). I didn’t fully realize most of the current scene don’t care unless they are getting something. Now I do. It’s late tonight, I’ll think about what to do about this in the morning.The real reason behind no release isn’t technical. It’s just that it will never stop, after blackra1n, people demand unlock, after blacksn0w, people demand untethered. I miss the days when jailbreaking and unlocking were difficult, it attracted a much higher caliber crowd.
Also, to the haters, the picture is quite obviously fake.

i was just having fun but some people had to take this all way too seriously. it’s just a phone, and it isn’t much fun anymore.
my bio isn’t “iPhone hacker” it was just something i did occasionally when i was bored. seriously, i think many of you care way more than me
it was a cool ride, and i’ve learned a lot about a lot. perhaps one of these days i’ll do a more formal goodbye.
