OS X Mountain Lion now Available via Mac App Store

Mountain Lion is now available for everyone in the Mac App Store for all the Mac users. Apple released OS X 10.8 to Mac App Store which is just 4.05GB and costs as low as $19.99 for upgrade.

Only following Macs are supported by Mountain Lion upgrade :

  • iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
  • Xserve (Early 2009)

Here is a quick rundown of all the new features you get in Mountain Lion, 10.8 includes Mac versions of Notes, Reminders, Game Center, Notification Center, Share Sheets, OS-wide Twitter integration, and AirPlay Mirroring. That’s in addition to improved iCloud support across a number of Apple apps, as well as the ability to use a single sign-in to set up Contacts, Mail, Calendar, Messages, FaceTime, and Find My Mac. There’s also a new feature called Power Nap, which allows your machine to wake itself up to download software updates, iCloud, and back up to Time Machine.
