Google Updates its iOS Search App to bring a Siri competitor

Google updated its Search App for iOS and has added the enhanced voice search for iOS. The service mimics most of the voice functionality in Google’s default Search in Android.

Is this a Siri competitor or just a way to show iOS users how capable Google’s own voice technology is compared to siri?The new app even provides spoken results for many voice queries and loads web results below it.
