Microsoft’s New Update Makes Windows 10 Upgrade Easy

Many users are still facing issues with upgrading to Windows 10. Especially some Windows 7 and Windows Server users. To make it easier to install the Windows 10 Update for older operating systems and help them upgrade, Microsoft has released 2 optional updates for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012 R2 users.

The updates are labelled as
KB3112343 : Windows Update Client for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2: December 2015

This update enables support for additional upgrade scenarios from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and provides a smoother experience when you have to retry an operating system upgrade because of certain failure conditions. This update also improves the ability of Microsoft to monitor the quality of the upgrade experience.

KB3112336 : Windows Update Client for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2: December 2015

This update enables support for additional upgrade scenarios from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, and provides a smoother experience when you have to retry an operating system upgrade because of certain failure conditions. This update also improves the ability of Microsoft to monitor the quality of the upgrade experience.

If you are still using an old Windows system which you know ineligible for a free upgrade, you should install these updates from your Windows Update section or download from the links provided below.
