PicLens adds Youtube and Amazon

One of the most famous browser plugin, PicLens has added Youtube and Amazon to provide futuristic Graphic Display of images as well as videos.

For youtube, The PicLens plug-in will install a grid button on your Toolbar, which you click to activate the PicLens full-screen interface. Click a thumbnail to start playing a video, while the search box lives in the upper right of your screen. As video starts playing, standard YouTube controls appear at the bottom of the video.

On Amazon, the main Amazon.com page doesn’t support the PicLens button, but if you click on the button anyway it will open up the PicLens UI. From there, change the Web site search to Amazon, type in your search term, and images of whatever item you searched for will pop out.

Abit Of Mess

X-bit labs reported “Abit May Stop Producing Motherboards. But later Abit Denies this.

Read along to understand what exactly happened.

X-bit Labs’s new stated “Due to decreasing sales of mainboards, well-known motherboard maker Abit may quit this market in order to focus on other components of personal computers. The actual decision has not been made yet, but the parent company of Abit, Universal Scientific Industrial, may proceed with the restructuring plan if the mainboard supplier fails to demo sales increase with Intel P45-based mainboards.”

I was totally shocked reading this cause as statistics read, Abit shipped from two to three million of mainboards last year. This was all reported but, this wasn’t the situation.

Valve Starts Team Fortress 2 Blog

Valve has been releasing new content for Team Fortress 2 fairly regularly. Now that the company feels that it’s hitting its stride with regular updates, they’ve opened up the lines of communication with an official TF2 blog.

This blog is new and would be updated quite often whenever necessary , as said by Valve.

Right now the blog is fairly bare-bones, with only an introductory post and another on some gun designs. Currently, it doesn’t even have an RSS feature. But Valve promises that the blog will be the direct wire to the community. “Our hope is that this blog will accomplish…give everyone some better insight into the development process,” said Valve’s Robin Walker in the intro post.

Baywords.com-Venture of The PirateBay

Ever thought you lack the right to speak whatever you want on a blog? Ever thought the laws might grip you cold if you blog something which is provocative? Well yes everyone once in their life had a twitch in their mind whether to blog this or not. Now Piratebay, Internet’s largest bit-torrent tracker has a solution for this.

Piratebay introduced a Beta version of a blogging service where you can express yourself freely without the fear of anything. Named Baywords.com this blogging service allows you to blog whatever you want until it doesn’t touch the swedish laws. The blogging system is very minimal now but this is what in Baywords’s next update list: Upcoming stuff: We will add support for your own domain hopefully. Captcha system will be installed. Stats will be better. Ads will be added, sorry about that but we’ll keep them as usual to a minimum.
