Written by V on August 20, 2008 – 11:13 am -Welcome, if you like the post do subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
iPhones.ru has developed a iPhone with glowing apple logo on the back side. This modding might be risky try it on your own risk. Modding consists of removing the aluminum “fruits” and inserting the glowing ones. Looks really cool!.
The apple now glows on Macbooks and iPhones. The battery doesn’t suffer a lot, you can adjust the glow level in Settings menu.

XBOX 360’s New Chassis
Written by V on August 15, 2008 – 9:40 am -Solving the heating issues of XBOX 360, Lian-Li has launched the PC-XB01 chassis replacement for the console. This would solve many heating issues as well as lift up the performance. Some technical knowledge required to install this chasis.

The chassis comes with rear system fan [ 120mm ( 1500 RPM) ]. The dimensions being 160 x 250 x 415mm (W, D, H) the chassis has huge aluminum ducts for better cooling. The case also supports water-cooling with pipe holes. The power transformer has to be attached from the outside since the chassis is designed to fit the Xbox 360 internals.

Xbox 360 optical drive has been relocated away from the main heat generating components, allowing more airflow across the graphics chipset. This is also convenient if the user wants to change the cooler, or install water cooling.
Special sound insulation foam sheeting around the Optical drive reduces the mechanical noises from vibration of spinning disks. There are aluminum dust covers for the front connectors to protect the connector. The Optical drive has a spring loaded dust cover to keep the aesthetic appeal. Now this looks cool but those who have XBOX skins on their consoles will loose everything.

Abit Of Mess
Written by V on July 1, 2008 – 3:14 pm -X-bit labs reported “Abit May Stop Producing Motherboards“. But later Abit Denies this.
Read along to understand what exactly happened.
X-bit Labs’s new stated “Due to decreasing sales of mainboards, well-known motherboard maker Abit may quit this market in order to focus on other components of personal computers. The actual decision has not been made yet, but the parent company of Abit, Universal Scientific Industrial, may proceed with the restructuring plan if the mainboard supplier fails to demo sales increase with Intel P45-based mainboards.”
I was totally shocked reading this cause as statistics read, Abit shipped from two to three million of mainboards last year. This was all reported but, this wasn’t the situation.
