Spire : A Cydia Hack Brings Siri to Jailbroken iOS5 Devices

December 28th, 2011

Hackers, developers and programmers are trying hard to break into Siri and give it to people in any device they way. Many succeed a little and some even managed to port Siri to iPhone 4.

iPhone 4 Can Now Have Siri via Cydia

December 5th, 2011

Developers have tried to port Siri to all the other devices from quite a long time. Many succeeded in doing that partly, some managed to get the Siri UI on various devices and two apple developers actually managed to port Siri on iPhone4 and iPod Touch but never intended to release it because of its server complications. Siri’s protocol was cracked and hopes of running a Siri Proxy to process all the Siri requests on different devices seemed real.

All these efforts by various developers has finally paid off and now every jailbroken device could install Siri’s twin sister ‘H1Siri‘ via Cydia. The App claims to work exactly like Siri and all the requests are processed through a proxy server.

It is available on the this Cydia repository http://www.iphone3gsystem.fr/cydia/
It works as it is says but since it runs all the processes through a proxy server setup by the developers at CD-Dev Team it isn’t really advisable for you to install it as it might collect your personal data easily.
