Google just updated its Google+ iPhone App, and it looks amazing. The earlier version of the App was simple and was liked by everyone in the Google+ community. The latest update would surely blow your mind.

From Google+ Official Blog

A feast for the eyes
Full-bleed photos and videos are cool. But you know what’s really cool? Content so immersive it remakes your mobile device into a rich carousel of beloved memories and breaking news. That’s the Google+ experience we aspire to, and today’s release helps us get closer:

Whether you post photos or articles or text, we’re making ‘em look gooood

We’re adding crisper fonts, larger profile pics and a friendlier homescreen

We’re making the stream easier to scan, and easier on the eyes with overlays, gradients and other visual elements

A stream you can swim in
Looks alone aren’t enough—you also need an app that’s fast and fluid. Even a simple swipe gesture can inspire the same “wheeee!” as the bubble wands and ball pits we enjoy(ed) as kids. So today’s update pays special attention to fun and performance:

Conversations fall into view as you move forward and backward in time

Optical cues (like parallax) help the mind linger on individual posts

Important actions like +1 now float atop the stream, making it easy to endorse all your favorites

The Apps looks like has been made ground up from scratch and has completely changed the look of Google+ on iPhone. Surely, they have talented engineers working there to make it happen but this App must have taken its time to make it look so gorgeous.

One of the most famous and most indigenous iOS App, Flipboard was briefly demonstrated on Android which comes exclusively on the new Samsung Galaxy S III. Every head turned when the y heard Flipboard was seen on Android. But it was announced that it made exclusive for Samsung Galaxy S III. Not anymore. You see, developers are smart, they hate it when the company says ‘ This is shiny, new and amazing, but its only for the device I want to sell’.

So at XDA-Developers, a 2.32MB APK arrived a few hours ago, which should essentially install Flipboard on any Android device. Here is how to install it and start flipping like a iOS user.

Go to XDA-Developers, and download the Flipboard.apk file. Only download the file uploaded by user Valcho.

If you aren’t using your phone to browse, then click over the Attached file to get the QR code (given below) and download the App directly. Or download the APK on your PC and transfer it to your device any way you like ( Dropbox, self-email, usb, bluetooth, ada ada ada )

Run the APK, and install Flipboard.

Nice and easy, enjoy Flipboard on your device.

For people who don’t want to install unofficial apps, sooner or later this App would hit the Google Play store. So don’t worry its worth the wait if you want to.

After so many years of speculations and months of rumors about its release date and features, Google Drive is finally here. Users get 5GB of free space to store data and sync that data across various computers.
It’s official that Google has finally dived into the Cloud competition with Dropbox, SkyDrive and recently launched iCloud.

Just like any other cloud storage service it makes a specific folder in your computer which syncs with all the computers and devices. As of now its only available for Windows, Macs and Android, but a iOS app is in works.
Sorry Linux users, no news on Linux app.

Dropbox being our favorite cloud storage, backup and syncing service we have covered alot of tricks to increase your free space quota. You can check some of the old tricks which still work here and here.

We now have come across a new way to get 23GB of free space in your Dropbox account for free. Yes, you read it right that twenty-three gigabytes of free space!

Being said its free, this method is not that legitimate as the older tricks were. A few Dropbox lovers on Dropbox forums did say this might violate user terms & conditions. We tried it and it worked, proceeding ahead is your choice and not our responsibility. Proceed with caution and purely at your own risk.

This method is simple and the developer said this might not work for everyone.

What you need :

Free Dropbox Account

Android Device

Patience ( A confirmation email from Dropbox might take upto 30minutes )

How you do it?

If you have the official Dropbox App in your Android device. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Dropbox > Force Stop > Clear Data > Uninstall.

Download + Install this Custom DropboxAPK File. or here
If you aren’t allowed to install just make sure you have enabled install from Unknown resources under Settings > Applications > Security >

Launch the newly installed Application and Login using your Dropbox credentials.

Following these steps should get your a confirmation email from Dropbox saying that you have become Dropbox Guru and got 23GB of free space in your Account. As soon as you receive that you can uninstall the App and reinstall the official Dropbox App from the Marketplace again.
The confirmation email should come instantly but might take upto 30mins. So be patient and wait for it to come.

The only catch being, this free space is with your for the next 24months ( 2 years ).
Enjoy loving and using Dropbox! For more of such trick do check our posts here and here.

Go to Cydia > Manage > Sources > Edit > Add > http://i4siri.com/repo

Install i4Siri ( if you don’t have Spire, then be patient. i4Siri would install Spire for you ) Respring your device.

Settings > Spire > https://i4sirifree.mooo.com/ ( this link should be there in the proxy server area, if not then just add it )

Go back to Settings > i4Siri > Tap on Install Certificate.

Once the certificate is installed you are good to so, you can start using Siri and it would work exactly as it works on iPhone 4S.

According to Apple, Siri isn’t on older iOS devices because it requires an optimized and fast processor. I won’t claim it works great on older devices but you should give it a try on your device and am sure you won’t be disappointed. I recommend you to try this now and use it till the proxy server gets flooded with alot of Siri requests. Within few weeks or months, Apple would find a way to block this but till then enjoy Siri.

The Readability App has hit the App Store today and is free for now. This app works exactly how other ‘Read it later’ services work like Instapaper and Read it Later. These apps let you save web articles and view them in a minimalistic manner, ad-free and allow offline reading once synced. Thats it, the concept is simple and very useful.

What makes Readability different is, despite being a free service and now a free app they figured out a way to pay content creators whos content is being read in their app.Being a member you can opt to become a subscriber of which 70% would go to the content creator. You can of course choose not to subscribe and use the service for free.

Using Readability is simple, you add a bookmarket or a add-on to your desktop browser and any time you see some article you would want to read later, just press the Readability button or use the bookmarklet and it would get added to your account.
Now whenever you want to read the article just go to their website, login and read in a stripped down, ad free way or just open the app and read it on it.

Download the iOS App now

Apart from having the easy-to-use interface, the Metro UI based Windows 8 operating system is known for its touch-friendly UI. A whole new genre of desktop apps are coming, new gestures, and a completely redesigned browser.

Windows 7 users would only find the Start screen / Home screen to be different, rest all should be exactly the same as Windows 7. You can switch to your desktop view as you have for Windows 7 when you want in Windows 8. You can download and try it out if you want, since it’s a consumer preview first download the simple installer from the Download page and run it. The installer would automatically analyze your installed applications and tell you their compatibility with Windows 8. If you are okay with it you can proceed ahead and download the Windows 8 installer which is roughly around 3-4GB which is customized as per your system by that installer.
So download it now and experience the next Windows!

One of the most popular media player, VideoLAN Player has updated with an experimental support for Blu-Ray discs and a very appealing new interface for Windows and Mac users.
Though for Mac users the user interface has completely changed and is much more appealing, for Windows users they have just polished the essential play/pause/seek bar buttons.

The mighty 2.0 update for VLC brings a ton of codec support and has drastically improved the support for multi-cores processors and faster GPUs. The new Blu-Ray support allows users to watch the Blu-Ray media even without actually ripping it before. It has a few minor issues, but its experimental so no complains there.

If you are a VLC user, this is a must upgrade for you and for those who aren’t using VLC yet, should get it right away.

Hit the link below to read more and grab a copy of VLC 2.0 right away!
