Google Voice for Everyone. Really!?

Google always has been developing amazing applications which never failed. Right from Google Docs to Google buzz all the web/cloud Apps have been amazing. One thing which Google pertained throughout the development and deployment phase is the invitation system.


Well fortunately all the Google Apps have been so great and awesome that they came out of the Beta stage and evolved to something useful. The best thing about this invitation system is that no matter how useful or good that particular App is everyone wants a hold over that invitation.

Way back in 2007 Google bought something very revolutionary, a startup which was called Google Voice from Grand Central. The usage of Google voice is very simple, you register your number, get your Google Voice number and use it as you use without paying any extra charges. It uses your 3G network to establish calls to google voice numbers. 2006 was the year where it was first started by GrandCentral and went under serious testing and development, later almost 2 years later Google introduced Google voice to Grand Central subscribers, the only catch was that it was completely invitation based ( same trick worked for Google Mail, Gmail as we know now ). Geohot’s New Exploit for iPhone 4?

George Hotz a.k.a. Geohot, the pioneer in hacking into iPhone and PS3 was giving a seminar on the exploits of PS3 and iPhone. In the conference, Nuit du hacks he also discussed about all the exploits he used to run Blackra1n and Blacksn0w. In the video, Geohot explains how the protection system from Apple works and how the baseband functions in iPhone OS.

During this conference he talked about the new exploit he might use for iPhone 4 called ‘pwnt4life’

Welcome!! iOS4!

Apple has rolled out the much awaited iPhone OS Update, the iOS4.
What you need?

-  Updated iTunes version ( 9.2) – Update your present iTunes installation or download it from Apple.

UPDATE : Direct Firmware Download links available here.

The iPhone 4 would have this firmware, but for exclusivity the present device owners ( include iPod Touch 2nd and 3rd Generation only) are giving the option for a free upgrade to iOS4.

The number of features added to this shiny new firmware upgrade is amazing, check the changelog added below. The major and most awaited feature, is the multitasking. With loads of videos on iOS4 demonstrating multitasking we can hardly wait to experience it. Continue reading

No Flash? Apple Shows What HTML5 Actually Is!!

Steve Jobs cleared stated ‘ Flash is old stuff. HTML5 is the upcoming technology we support’. Making that point very clear, Apple brings you Showcase, the only page which shows you upto what level can CSS3, JavaScript and HTML5 reach.

As mashable.com says “In typical Apple style, the showcase consists of simple, elegant, and yet quite impressive demos of this technology. In one demo, you can type in some text, quickly change the font, its size and transparency, rotate it or add a shadow effect.
