Even YouTube has joined the bandwagon of  Twitter mania.  Now you can Share your video on Twitter too.  The same way you twit a post/blog/thread even Videos can be Twitted along with the name and Video. The lacking part is the url shortener.

Was thinking what should be my First New Year Post?! Hmm.. Something resoruceful, useful….So came this idea!

There are times when we need some operations to be done very fast and we don’t have much time to search for a software for it and then get the job done, so here’s a compilation of most useful Apps.

Meebo – Instant Online Web Messenger. The best online web IM for AIM, MSN, Yahoo, GTalk, Facebook and MySpace. Phew!! Almost all the most likely used IM clients included.

For those who don’t want to trust Meebo can use Yahoo’s WebMessenger and MSN’s Web Messenger.

Mesh – Just Drag-drop files from one computer and access from another, the best and easy to use online storage and sharing application on Web. Lot more features just Sign Up and get started.

Ping.fm – The ultimate Social Networking Application. Send your messages through SMS, IM clients, Online API Apps, Email services to Ping.fm and post it in Blogging sites and any of the social Networking Websites.

ScreenToaster – Need to make some dekstop Tutorials? ScreenToaster records your on screen activity and automatically uploads with a decent video quality. No software required, just click “Start” to Start and “Stop” to Stop.

Koolwire and Zamzar – Online File format Conversion tool. Upload your files of any formats and convert to relevant formats. Check both the sites have different features. Koolwire has a special feature of email converstion. Send a attached email with the file and a converted file comes back to you in your mailbox.

This blog is new and would be updated quite often whenever necessary , as said by Valve.

Right now the blog is fairly bare-bones, with only an introductory post and another on some gun designs. Currently, it doesn’t even have an RSS feature. But Valve promises that the blog will be the direct wire to the community. “Our hope is that this blog will accomplish…give everyone some better insight into the development process,” said Valve’s Robin Walker in the intro post.

Piratebay introduced a Beta version of a blogging service where you can express yourself freely without the fear of anything. Named Baywords.com this blogging service allows you to blog whatever you want until it doesn’t touch the swedish laws. The blogging system is very minimal now but this is what in Baywords’s next update list: Upcoming stuff: We will add support for your own domain hopefully. Captcha system will be installed. Stats will be better. Ads will be added, sorry about that but we’ll keep them as usual to a minimum.

This step might be a back answer to the law suit filed against Piratebay few months back and showing the spirit of standing all the hurdles , piratebay puts a hand forward to help others too.

1. Choosing a Blogging Platform: There are several blogging platforms, but I recommend WordPress.Other platforms include Blogger,Typepad and some more independent Platforms.I would suggest for your ease of use try all and decide which one suits your bill.

2. I recommend rather than using the free blogging services take a decent hosting like Lunar Pages , buy a good domain and point it towards your blog.

3. Once you have got your blog started and going, choose a good topic to blog on and stick to it. Make sure the domain you use is of related to the topic you choose. Choosing themes for your blogs is very important step because themes can be broad as my theme it can extent it boundaries making it easy for me to blog. But I still prefer staying glued to the niche I chose.

4. If you are completely new to blogging and don’t have any good experience in writing up stuff, then the best way is to start of with reference blogging ,this means you start off posting articles of other blogs keeping in mind the blogging ethics and copyright policies. This will eventually make it easier for you to write interesting stuff later .

5. Write what interests you not thinking what readers would expect you to write. If you write with a mindset of thinking what readers think you will eventually get bored of blogging and your blog will eventually end up as a dust.

6. The best starting off way to get readers is to comment on other blogs and link other bloggers. You can use Technorati for this. As they will come to read what you commented and if they like what you say you might get some really good response.

7. Make sure you get some support from friends, if you write something really interesting stuff ,go share with your friends ,email them. No don’t SPAM but mail them and ask them to give you some genuine feedback about your blog.

8. Do create a “Contact Us” page on your blog, this makes easier for readers to send some really genuine feedback and also comment on your blog posts.

9. The most exhilarating thing for a blogger is having readers, make sure you have RSS feed enabled in your blogging software. Make sure it is enabled and is clearly make visible to readers.

10. Also create an “About” page and give your readers some information about yourself and the blog. Or you can even stay anonymous like me .;D
