Many people don’t have Microsoft Office Installed on their PC or they just don’t like it. So here are a few Alternatives for such times. First lets see some Alternatives for Microsoft Office. Before Starting that, for those who haven’t used Microsoft Office 2007 yet, get the 60 day trial now.

Office 2007 FREE for 60 days! Download a free trial.

[singlepic=3,320,240,,center]

Office Applications :

Open Office

[singlepic=5,320,240,,center]

It is a open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common computers. It stores all your data in an international open standard format and can also read and write files from other common office software packages.

Think Free

[singlepic=4,320,240,,center]

Online as well as a offline. Think free is one of the Stable Office Application other than Microsoft Office 2007. Thought works a little slow compared to Open Office, but the online accessibility makes it good with everything.

Google Docs

[singlepic=1,320,240,,center]

The best hands have made Google Docs. Google Docs is probably the easiest to use of the various online word processing applications. I’ve never had any issues logging into Google Docs and accessing my documents, but the same can’t be said for my experience with its competitors.

And using Gmail as the email service you can integrate Google Docs with it and get the best possible outcome.

Zoho

[singlepic=7,320,240,,center]

Zoho has a bundle of Online Office Tools to make your work more easy. Zoho has the best Spreadsheet online tool. Zoho presents the most familiar feeling application of the bunch. They offer a large number of functions and very nice charting and graphing features. Some are free and many are paid services. Try the Spreadsheet tool it works wonders.

IBM Lotus

[singlepic=2,320,240,,center]

Award Winning Online Office Tool . IBM Lotus Symphony is a richly-featured set of productivity tools and has three applications that make up Lotus Symphony: Lotus Symphony Documents, Lotus Symphony Spreadsheets, Lotus Symphony Presentations. Easy to use because of its smooth interface. Basically based on Open Office so works great.

There are loads of more such online office tools and applications, i have cropped them down to these few favorite, user friendly, resourceful and really simple list. Do post a comment and let me know your favorite.

Did your ever had a thought, there might be someone who would be accessing your Gmail account without your consent?

I do get that feeling many a times , Thankfully the best Email service, Gmail has a solution for this,

Click on Details and a window pops up with all the details of last Gmail logins.

With IP details and Time and everything you can Log out of all those sessions ( if still logged in) to be safe.

How does this help?

If you find a suspicious or simultaneous access, then you can sign-out all other sessions, except yours from this session window. Then you can make necessary steps by changing the password/security question to avoid unauthorised access. And other security Changes.

This is an excellent service provided by GMail. This will help you to protect your GMail account from unauthorised use. As well as keep track of all your recent logins.

Thats why I call GMail very safe.
