Google Trends - Can it Beat Alexa?

Jun.21, 2008 in internet, news

Welcome, if you like the post do subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Google introduced Google Trends For Websites, a new tool that lets users glare at the traffic data from sites around the web. This feature is just similar to what compete, alexa and other such websites do. Check a example here.

All these services have a core problem that they don’t have a way to directly measure the traffic on the websites that they’re monitoring this results in traffic data to be a little inaccurate.

But I think Google can beat these other services. The sole reason for it is Google Analytics. The power of Google is incomparable to any other Internet Company. Few years from now Google could be the only dominator for all websites on Internet. The vast database might help us get the exact traffic measures on Internet.

But wait the story doesn’t end here. There are speculations that Mozilla [Read the rest of this entry...]

Team Fortress 2 - Official Blog

Jun.21, 2008 in blogging, internet, news

Valve has been releasing new content for Team Fortress 2 fairly regularly. Now that the company feels that it’s hitting its stride with regular updates, they’ve opened up the lines of communication with an official TF2 blog.

This blog is new and would be updated quite often whenever necessary , as said by Valve.

Right now the blog is fairly bare-bones, with only an introductory post and another on some gun designs. Currently, it doesn’t even have an RSS feature. But Valve promises that the blog will be the direct wire to the community. “Our hope is that this blog will accomplish…give everyone some better insight into the development process,” said Valve’s Robin Walker in the intro post.

Download Torrents on Gaming Consoles!

Jun.11, 2008 in gaming, hack, internet, tweaks

Now you can download torrents on your gaming consoles, rather any web enabled device. Don’t worry no need to install any software or any thing. Just visit TorrentRelay and follow the simple steps you are done.

But wait who made this possible? Kevin Kowalewski of TorrentRelay as told to TorentFreak “I’ve always been interested in computers, Perl, PHP, Python etc and wanted to make a project over the summer.” And this project evolved into making it possible to download torrents on PS3, Wii or even iPhone. Just some reverse engineering with the Bit Torrent Protocol and he made it possible.

How to get it done ..

1.) The most common way is “Browse and select”, which allows you to choose a torrent from your local file system.

2.)The URL method which allows you to simply copy the URL of where the torrent is online.

3.)The third option is Mininova ID. Just jot down the short 7 digit code found on Mininova torrents, and hit ‘Get ID’. You can easily find the corresponding Mininova ID from the download link, just hover over it and you’ll see it in the bottom of your browser.
