But a first beta release has been available for testing last week, and expected to release the next beta by mid April.

Natty Narwhal has some brilliant new features, pumped UI and better integration with the hardware. The new distro would combine the ‘Ubuntu Desktop‘ and ‘ubuntu Netbook‘ releases with the Unity desktop interface. All these options would be auto selected depending upon the computer’s graphics and 3D capability. Else the traditional GNOME interface would kick in.
Here are some early reviews talking all the good and the bad about this new Beta.

There are several ways to jailbreak your device and you can get so many tutorials to do the same. But just in case if you wish to remove the jailbreak due to instability because of some Cydia App you just installed or some goof up you did by adding/editing some files or warranty claim, here are some simple steps that you can follow to get it done.

-Launch iTunes and connect your device to the Pc/Mac
-Let it autosync if you have kept that way.

-On the left pane, Right click on the Device name which you want to unjailbreak and click Backup. Let it take its time.

-Once done, click on the device name and a Device summary page would open.
Now you can Check for update if you want to udpate your device, or just Click on the ‘Restore’ button and follow either by ‘Backup’ or choose ‘Don’t Back Up’ will put your iOS devices back to its original factory settings with all jailbreak and tweaks completely removed.

Once done, just choose the previous backup copy to reinstall all your previous apps and settings into the same iOS device.

Thats all and your device is unjailbroken in 2mins

We had some early glimpse of iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock as @comex displayed how he managed to install Cydia on iPhone 4 though there isn’t any news of any tool being released as of now. But @iPhone_Dev team is working hard to work this out. Though all things being very complicated all the iPhone geniuses are working on to get the possible easy way to have a public release of the tool.

Similarly one of the @iPhone_Dev team’s @planetbeing ( the guy who managed to install and dualboot linux on the iPhone) has successfully managed to show a working unlock installed on his iPhone4. Still no public release as he explains it being a very messy code and lengthy process to jailbreak and unlock. They have posted a teaser screenshot/photo of the unlocked iPhone 4 which runs Roger and Bell in Canada.

After the jump, check the videos of the jailbreak and unlock being very true and working. And also check what blackra1n developer George Hotz is doing for now.

Many bloggers went on posting their assumptions of the unlock not being a true thing and moreover a fake screenshot or a screenshot with AT&T having a affiliation with Rogers as their Roaming network carrier. So to prove them its true, he also posted two videos demonstrating his jailbreak and unlock to be very true.

About Geroge Hotz and blackra1n and limera1n

For everyone to know , the mighty blackra1n developer has pulled his way out of the jailbreaking scenario completely. He posted a teaser photo of his jailbroken iPhone 4 and made it public that all the tools he created were made to keep him busy in his leisure time, what he cares about most isn’t cracking the iPhone but his convenience. He shared his technical knowledge which leaded to this. He shared this on his blog which is now restricted to invited readers only.

Sorry, this post was probably a bad idea. Next time I won’t say anything. I miss when this blog
was actually about technical things(I’ve been reacting too much to the feedback, which led it to the place it’s in now). I didn’t fully realize most of the current scene don’t care unless they are getting something. Now I do. It’s late tonight, I’ll think about what to do about this in the morning.

The real reason behind no release isn’t technical. It’s just that it will never stop, after blackra1n, people demand unlock, after blacksn0w, people demand untethered. I miss the days when jailbreaking and unlocking were difficult, it attracted a much higher caliber crowd.
Also, to the haters, the picture is quite obviously fake.

UPDATE

i was just having fun but some people had to take this all way too seriously. it’s just a phone, and it isn’t much fun anymore.

my bio isn’t “iPhone hacker” it was just something i did occasionally when i was bored. seriously, i think many of you care way more than me

it was a cool ride, and i’ve learned a lot about a lot. perhaps one of these days i’ll do a more formal goodbye.

So we are completely dependent on what @iphone_dev team does and gives us. Lets hope they do the best as they do always.
