So as said, the Jailbreak can be done in two ways

• Manually use the firmware patch to jailbreak your iPod Touch 2G -

• • For Manual Jailbreak follow the lengthy tideous steps, which would make you understand whats actually going on.

• Using the now released QuickFreedom GUI version -
  • Simpler than anything, it would be just a few clicks and you would be done.
  • Download the the firmware 2.2.1. (Google it and there are loads of resources to download that.)
  • Download Quick Freedom, Install and Run it.
  • Follow the simple instructions, firstly install LIBUSB then patch your firmware with the jailbreak file. (Don’t worry, everything is just a few clicks)
  • Shift Restore your Ipod Touch using the custom firmware( that is done using iTunes) you just created using Quick Freedom.
  • After the firmware is installed by iTunes you are done
  • Cydia and installer would show up.

Its an application that helps people access and share information over the Internet using public digital noticeboards. Using Google Noticeboard, communities can access a variety of relevant information. People can create text messages or record voice snippets and post them to one or more noticeboards. Typically each digital noticeboard carries publicly accessible messages. Compared to the notion of personal communication using email accounts, the Noticeboard metaphor allows user to engage in public communication with communities.

Noticeboard uses a Firefox extension and requires to enable IMAP in Gmail to send messages. The service seems to be aimed at people that don’t own computer and don’t have an email address, but the interface is very basic and limiting. Google Noticeboard’s user guide (PDF) has more information.

I am not sure how useful this is, lets see how people use it.

Heres how to change your cursors

• Download the cursors – Mac OS X Cursors
• Extract them to a folder.
• Open Control Panel and click on the Mouse icon.
• Click on the Pointers tab.
• Under Scheme, select a scheme that you want for the pointers from the drop down menu.Under Customize, select the event that you want to change the pointer for, and click on the Browse button. (If you want to use the default pointer for that event, click on the Use Default button instead. This can be handy if you have already changed pointer from it’s default pointer)
• Navigate to where you have your pointer saved to, then select it and click on the Open button.
• Save the theme if you want by clicking on the Save As button.

And Voila!! You are done.

Note : This trick can be used on all Windows Versions.

And installing Windows Messenger is the not that user friendly, many a times all the installation goes haywire while downloading and installating due to some network connection error or just some Windows Messenger glitch saying

“Another version of the product is already installed”,

“Your computer has a newer version of MSN Messenger than the one you are trying to install”,

“Your computer has a newer version of Windows Live Messenger than the one you are trying to install”,

“The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable” and etc, you are basically stuck because you can’t install the latest version nor go back to the old version”.

Additionally, in some cases the installer can’t be found in the Control Panel’s Programs applet or has become damaged with a  Catastrophic failure (0x8000ffff) error or the Windows Installer is prompting for a missing .msi file which you can’t find anymore.

Well to make things simple after all the goofup here is one small tool which could help you remove all the traces of Windows Messenger from your System.

These updates would just be a test run to check the Beta updates and other things related to Beta versions which can render the further updates. Microsoft promises, this process would be fast and would run very smoothly. There will be at most five updates. These updates test the Windows 7 servicing infrastructure. They will not deliver any new features or fixes as of now.

The updates will be offered interactively. This means that users will be notified of available updates, but they won’t install automatically. Users will need to go to the Windows Update control panel and manually start installation. They will also be clearly titled as a test update. If you don’t want to install the updates then you can right click on each update and select “Hide update” to prevent it from being shown in the list of available updates.

Now these dudes, don’t just read them and discard the emails, rather they work on the legitimate and good ones to give us Gmail Labs. Seems to me a part of Experimental Google Labs extension.

How to access Google labs? Simple just log in your Gmail account and check your setting page or simply just click on the green labs button on the top of the page. There are many new things in the lab as they are made by different working Gmail teams in their Silicon Valley office. I just sorted out my favorite and must have Lab Applications

Offline - Access your inbox through your browser and use Gmail’s familiar features when you’re offline. You just need to have Google Gears installed and configure it properly to get started.

Besides having a safe Inbox, you actually get more than one Email address just by making on GMail Account.

Here are some tricks you should know :

An email sent to tech.blog@gmail.com or tech.blog+best@gmail.com will all be redirected to one common email address and that is paris.hilton@gmail.com.

Gmail does not recognize characters after the PLUS symbol but the gmail search filter can distinguish between the different address and you can therefore redirect these email to separate gmail folders or apply different labels for your convenience.

- Gmail cannot recognize dots or periods in email addresses or the user names – this means an address like tech.blog@gmail.com is the same as t.ec.h.blog@gmail.com or tech…blog@gmail.com.

When you create a Gmail account, you actually get two email addresses – one is the regular @gmail.com while the second email address has @googlemail.com in the domain.

Gmail accounts cannot be used with hyphens (-) and underscores (_) can’t be used in a Gmail address. Also, gmail user names are case-insensitive, so it doesn’t matter if you enter upper case or lower case letters.
