Twit this! Follow me! Send to Twitter ! Share on Twitter! I follow, Do you? Phew!!! Twitter has spread like wild fire everywhere. This micro tagging/blogging platform has been quite fast growing now. You can now Share YouTube Videos on Twitter, with just one click.

Even YouTube has joined the bandwagon of Twitter mania. Now you can Share your video on Twitter too. The same way you twit a post/blog/thread even Videos can be Twitted along with the name and Video. The lacking part is the url shortener.

The leading design firm, Happy Cog released an update on March 11th regarding their work on redesigning the Mozilla.org website. The update contains three seperate concept designs with the goal of each one to encapsulate what the Mozilla universe is all about. Each concept contains an explanation behind the design.

The redesign is still very early in development but Happy Cog is asking that you take a look at each concept and then drop them a line in their comments section to provide feedback on what you think.

Happy Cog says ” Exposing these designs at an early stage in their development creates a powerful communication channel to help us find out what works, what doesn’t work, and start an open dialog with the community.”

iPod Touch 2G Pwned too!

Finally after releasing many some few untethered jailbreak applications for iPod Touch 2G whick worked just till the next reboot. And what not other things. The Final iPod Touch 2G jailbreak is out. Yes!! Cydia on iPod Touch 2G ..Too curious and too excited iPhone Dev Team released it without a GUI so as to ease everyone, but within few hours a GUI version was released by the iPhone Dev Team member(just for now).

So as said, the Jailbreak can be done in two ways

Manually use the firmware patch to jailbreak your iPod Touch 2G -

- For Manual Jailbreak follow the lengthy tideous steps, which would make you understand whats actually going on.

Using the now released QuickFreedom GUI version -
- Simpler than anything, it would be just a few clicks and you would be done.
- Download the the firmware 2.2.1. (Google it and there are loads of resources to download that.)
- Download Quick Freedom, Install and Run it.
- Follow the simple instructions, firstly install LIBUSB then patch your firmware with the jailbreak file. (Don’t worry, everything is just a few clicks)
- Shift Restore your Ipod Touch using the custom firmware( that is done using iTunes) you just created using Quick Freedom.
- After the firmware is installed by iTunes you are done
- Cydia and installer would show up.

Understanding Web 3.0

People often get confused when it comes to differentiating Web 1.0 , Web 2.0 and Web 3.0. A few people do call Web 3.0 as still to come in near future, but it has already begun. Lets just try to understand it in a much easier way.
Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 are passe now. Web 1.0 was all about discovering things yourself, building and developing data on Internet and used for specific purposes with limited usability. Sooner, Web 1.0 was replaced by Web 2.0 and the age of networking began, with time passing and Internet got filled with Web 2.0 applications, websites and developers flooded Internet with their knowledge and new bright ideas.
Then began the debate of this new growing Internet behavior. Search engines started beginning the Information Portal, computers are about to produce results as per our satisfaction. You search something on your favorite Search engine and bang within few minutes you are with answers. Social networking, rather the advancements in Web 2.0 proved to be more and more subtle in developing the pre-present era of Web 3.0.
Yes, we have already started our Internet phase of Web 3.0 with information clogged in databases and all the databases working together to give out the most of what can be provided of the specified keywords. This is Web 3.0
To understand Web 3.0 an Intenet adviser Freek Bijl, gave a beautiful and easy to understand presentation using some great easy to understand example to explain this technology. There are two parts of this presentation.

Mac OSX Cursors on Windows

Mac OS definitely have some cool cursors. I am very fond of Mac OSX, the feel, the use its very exciting. But for those who use Windows they can feel the same by using some Mac OSX traditional things like Apple Safari, Task bar Dock ( included in Windows 7), iTunes, Quicktime player and MAC OSX Cursors.

Check this image and decide, if you would like to switch to those cursors or not

Heres how to change your cursors

Download the cursors – Mac OS X Cursors
Extract them to a folder.
Open Control Panel and click on the Mouse icon.
Click on the Pointers tab.
Under Scheme, select a scheme that you want for the pointers from the drop down menu.Under Customize, select the event that you want to change the pointer for, and click on the Browse button. (If you want to use the default pointer for that event, click on the Use Default button instead. This can be handy if you have already changed pointer from it’s default pointer)
Navigate to where you have your pointer saved to, then select it and click on the Open button.
Save the theme if you want by clicking on the Save As button.

And Voila!! You are done.

Note : This trick can be used on all Windows Versions.

Update : A much more easier way.

Hide files with JPEG images

Some files are safe when they are hidden.No I am not talking about the lame hiding methods.Right Click on file>Tick Hidden.Done.Nope!This is something highly confidential secretive method of hiding files or rather masking files under any .jpg image.It looks great.So if you want to learn just read it carefully.The things you need are:

Compression software to create a archive of the file to be masked.
Any Image with the extension .jpg

Lets consider file named “file.jpg” is the .jpg image file, “secret.txt” is the secret file to be hidden.Now,

Create a archive of “secret.txt”, now it will be as secret.zip or any other compressed format.(for ease lets use .zip)
Click Start>Run>cmd and click “Open” .This will open the command prompt.Reach till the location of the file with the most basic DOS commands.
Type without quote “copy /b file.jpg + secret.zip hidden.jpg” hidden.jpg is the file which will contain the secret file.

Now you are done.The file hidden.jpg is created.Once you double click on the file it will show as a image(file.jpg named hidden.jpg) but when you Open it with A Compression Software the real file gets exposed.

Kewl!!!

So the next time you want to hide any file just don’t change the properties to hidden.Do this and no one would know the encrypted file.
