Last time google changed its favicon(the tiny image that typically appears next to the URL in your browser), it was a calligraphic “g” from the previous traditional Capital “G”. This time is very different. Google gets colorful.

The new design consists of four color areas – blue, red, green and yellow – overlaid by a lowercase white “g”.
Maybe Google has created hundred’s of favicons and showing us those one by one. For those who don’t understand, don’t worry this change won’t affect Google’s Search results its gonna be the same old Google good search.

September 30th, 2008YouTube has unveiled a new and improved video uploader. They’ve been letting random users sample it via a beta version, and now they’re letting everybody use it.

The new improved Beta Version has some great features :
- You can enter in your video’s metadata (title, description, tags, etc.) while the upload is processing.
- Upload multiple files at once, without downloading a plugin (separate progress bars will display for each file).
- The file-size limit for uploads has been raised from 100MB to 1GB.

Youtube to go beyond video sharing

Youtube announced the development of video portal which could help youtube users to create a database of videos they want to share by uploading it from their own website once the application is installed. The video submission and appearance will all be done from the same application by logging in with their youtube account and configuring the application for the same.
This will not only benefit users but also a great link building mechanism for youtube thus creating a rather better search engine rating making every video searched on Google to appear as part of youtube.
